The Minister of Security and Justice of the City of Buenos Aires, Marcelo D'Alessandro, called for a new law to lower the age of criminal responsibility to 14 years, two years less than that currently established.
The Buenos Aires official based his demand on the fact that under the current legislation minors who commit crimes do not receive any punishment, do not have a criminal record, and generally return to the same environment where they became familiar with the crime.
