The Undersecretary General for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, Amb. Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita, and the Mexican Undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean, Amb. Luis Alfonso de Alba, co-chaired the fourth meeting of the Mexico-Brazil Binational Commission, welcoming the excellent political understanding achieved by the two countries over the course of the terms of Presidents Michel Temer and Enrique Pea Nieto.
The two delegations evaluated the results of the work done by the subcommittees on political affairs; economic, commercial and financial affairs; technical and scientific cooperation; and educational-cultural cooperation, in addition to the fifth meeting for bilateral consultations on multilateral issues.
They applauded the elections in both countries that demonstrated the solidity of their democratic institutions and highlighted the belief that the new presidents-elect will give special importance to advancing the bilateral relationship by taking advantage of the stronger ties forged in recent...
