Xcel Energy Inc. and enXco Inc. plan to build 351 MW of wind generation in Minnesota and North Dakota by the end of 2011, the companies said Oct. 31.
Once developed, the new wind power projects ownership will be transferred to Xcel Energy's Minnesota electric utility, Northern States Power Co.-Minnesota The wind development project should increase Xcel Energy's wind power resources by more than 10% companywide.
