After a very bumpy start, SunSoft Inc. is preparing more upgrades for its Wabi software, which runs select Windows applications on Unix workstations.
Unlike traditional emulation techniques, Wabi (Windows Application Binary Interface) uses translation software that converts Windows function calls into the X Window standard, allowing most popular Windows applications to run under Unix environments from Sun Microsystems, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Novell, the Santa Cruz Operation, and others.
