Western States Fear TSCA Fracking Rule May Hamper Disclosure Policies

Abstract

SDDENR urges the agency to conduct a thorough review of existing fracking chemical reporting and disclosure requirements to avoid overlapping measures, noting that operators in the state are already required to disclose to the voluntary database FracFocus the trade name, supplier, purpose, intentionally added ingredients, chemical identification number, maximum ingredient concentration and other data related to their fracking operations.
