PUTTING It All Together
With Something for Everyone was the theme of WasteExpo 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This year's show featured 445 exhibitors, of which 135 were new to WasteExpo. The show attracted more than 7,800 industry buyers, a 10% increase from the 2004 show in Dallas, Texas. In addition to attracting attendees from all 50 states, international participation also was significant in 2005. As part of the US Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program, WasteExpo hosted more than 1,000 international attendees from 60 countries.
The WasteExpo Show Floor expanded to two levels of exhibits featuring the latest in solid waste technologies and recycling equipment. Pavilions on the WasteExpo 2005 exhibit floor included the E-Recycling Pavilion showcasing exhibits from relevant industry suppliers. The Technology Pavilion featured the latest in computer hardware and software, communications equipment, and fleet management applications for the waste industry. Exhibiting companies in the Truck Components & Supplies Pavilion displayed their replacement parts, safety equipment and alarms, engines, suspension systems, tires, tarps, hydraulic and electronic systems, lubricants, pumps, and transmission components.
Organized by Primedia Business Exhibitions and sponsored by Waste Age magazine and the Environmental Industry Associations, WasteExpo is North America's largest trade show serving the entire solid waste and recycling industry.
WasteExpo 2006 will be held at the Ernest N Morial Convention Center April 25-27 in New Orleans with conference sessions beginning April 24.
