(Marketwire - Aug. 6, 2008) - Journey to the Metis Crossing Voyage Days Aug. 23 and 24, explore the historic village and put a little zip into your summer fun, while learning all about the Metis, one of Alberta's most vibrant cultures.

Take some time to stroll into the past and get a sense of Metis settlement life by visiting the Crossing's unique interpretive sites. Stop for tea and bannock at the historic village or learn about the housewife's task of carding and spinning wool to clothe her family at Homestead House, which displays an assortment of antique machinery that was vital to pioneer survival. An on-site museum offers a wealth of information about Metis history and culture, as well as a York boat, used by Metis fur traders to transport their wares.
