With satellite pay-TV markets in Europe beginning to mature, conditional access (CA) vendor Viaccess is looking to increase its presence in other parts of the world. The vendor is part of the France Telecom group and is one of a number of players in a competitive CA market. Viaccess Chairman and CEO Jean-Pierre Coustel told SATELLITE TODAY: "There are opportunities in Eastern Europe, as well as places in the Far East, such as China and Korea. We see things opening in markets such as India, where recently the regulation regarding DTH has been relaxed. We also see some opportunities in Latin America once the economic conditions recover."
