Abstract
Top 100 leadership veteran Greg Barber stepped into the top executive role at Schenck SC earlier this month, and his top priority is to help the $67 million firm, based in Appleton, WI, continue guiding its professionals as seamless accountants and business advisors to middle-market clients. After starting his own consultancy in 2011, Barber succeeds Bill Goodman, who is retiring September 30 as president of Schenck. Barber, 55, plans to continue the firm's quest to develop a stable of nimble and versatile talent that can serve the firm's middle-market clients through core services and specialized advisory roles. Goodman will not continue at Schenck in a different role, but hopes to secure some board positions and is exploring the idea of teaching at the collegiate level. Barber and Goodman were acquainted through their long respective associations with accounting firm leadership.
