Note: UBS has tempted Rob Jolliffe, a former Royal Bank of Scotland syndicate and origination head, out of retirement and given him a key job as its London-based joint global head of debt capital markets.
Jolliffe will work as joint head alongside US-based Mike Davidson. They will both report to Matthew Koder, head of GCM.
Jolliffe's hiring coincides with the bank's desire to climb back up the debt capital markets league tables. In Dealogic's bookrunners of all international bonds league table, one of the main benchmarks by which banks judge their performance in debt products, UBS resides in 12th, with $127bn of bookrun deals.
