Implementation of a hot oil filtration system has improved the efficiency of the heat transfer system and reduced downtime and costs for one Minneapolis die casting company - while tripling the life of its heat pumps. Faced with coke and sludge buildup in the heat transfer fluid used to heat the dies, Twin City Die Casting, Minneapolis, added a filter system from Liquid Process Systems, Charlotte, NC, to continuously filter the hot oil while the die casting equipment was in operation.
