Tata Sky and Dish TV Tie Up with Broadcom

Tata Sky and Dish TV have selected Broadcom's highly integrated system-on-a-chip (SoC) devices for STBs. By leveraging Broadcom's MPEG-4 SD STB, Tata Sky will be able to deliver more content to subscribers on a wider variety of channels and with better optimized channel bandwidth. Meanwhile, Dish TV has also tied up with Broadcom to deliver increased HD content offerings to its subscribers. As consumers in India are adopting HD, there is a growing demand for HD content. Broadcom's BCM7358 HD and BCM7301 SD SoCs provide operators with a cost-efficient platform while maintaining best integration, features, and performance.
