Within days of opening its doors, Concord's 10-story Metroplex signed Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as its newest tenant.
Wells Fargo leased 50,000 square feet almost 25 percent of the building - to become the largest tenant at the first office tower to be built in Concord in 15 years, said Doug Messner, vice president of the building's developer, Sierra Pacific Properties Inc.
Wells Fargo joins Country Wide Funding, Mutual of Omaha and Ciber Inc., an information technology service provider, as the first tenants in the 231,000-square-foot budding that Sierra Pacific tried to build in 1989. While the original building plans were shelved when the economy nose-dived in the early 1990s, there was no stopping the project this time around.
