Terratron Inc., the local Hardee's franchisee, will either sell or close all of its 26 restaurants in Utah by the end of the year, effectively removing the fast-food chair from the market.
Local Burger King franchise K&G Management Corp. and BDSB of Utah L.C., which collectively own and operate 45 Burger King restaurants in six states, have announced plans to acquire and convert 20 of the 26 restaurants al an estimated cost of $6 million.
Those restaurants not picked up by the two Burger King franchisees conflicted with existing Burger King locations, will either be sold to other concerns or closed, Said John Gullo, head of K&G Management.
