After 13 years at R. Messner Construction Co. Inc., Ron Messner has left the company and started his own architecture and construction company.
Ron Messner and his brother Richard opened the company in 1990 as co-owners, but after a few years Ron reduced his involvement with the company for personal reasons and Richard took over full ownership. Ron, who stayed with the company as an employee for about 10 years, says he finally decided to brunch out on his own and concentrate on more local work.
His company, Messner Contracting Group, will focus on commercial and custom residential work in Wichita. He also will do some church consulting in other parts of the country.
The Messners are the sons of Andover church builder Roe Messner.
