Remke Markets makes first grocery venture into Ohio

Remke Markets Inc., a fixture in Northern Kentucky for 96 years, is opening its first Ohio store. The Covington-based grocery store chain will launch its fifth supermarket this fall in Amelia, said William Remke, president.

The store will occupy a 33,000-square-foot building that formerly housed Sacks. Food Avenue, an independent grocer that closed about six months ago, he said.
