PsycINFO - (ScienceDirect) - ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com) a division of Elsevier Science and the American Psychological Association have announced that PsycINFO is now available via the ScienceDirect platform. PsycINFO is the leading bibliographic/abstracts database in the field of psychology and behavioral sciences and is updated on a weekly basis. It contains more than 1.7 million references to psychological literature for 1887 to the present, from over 1,700 international journal articles, books, book chapters, technical reports, and dissertations published worldwide. PsycINFO, a subscription product on the ScienceDirect platform, and the integration of the PsycINFO abstracts database with the expansive full-text article collection on ScienceDirect, plus backfiles of selected psychology journals and dynamic reference linking to Comprehensive Clinical Psychology, provides access to a critical mass of the world's literature in the field. Freely enabled CrossRef links take researchers even further to over 10,000 journal titles from the major STM publishers. ScienceDirect also supports rich reference linking from the wealth of articles on ScienceDirect to records on PsycINFO, as well as email alerts allowing users to choose PsycINFO as their alerting tool. [The PsycINFO database is also available on several other vendors including Dialog, OCLC, and others with linkages and cross-referencing which may be quite different. - ed.] For further information contact the database publisher: American Psychological Association, 750 First Street NE, Washington, DC 20002-4242.
