People in the projector industry like to keep some things secret, but if you ever visit Taiwan, some interesting secrets may reveal themselves. For instance, I recently discovered that Acer in Taiwan makes the projector that Proxima calls the DS2, as well as an almost identical unit for 3M called the MP7630. The models have differences, to be sure, but the secret of their parentage is out.
Compared with the one-chip DLP projectors I reviewed in October, the Proxima DS2 and 3M MP7630 units he on their sides, the way the In Focus LP335 does, rather than standing tall...
