Necktie-clad salesmen in a pawn shop?
City Jewelry & Pawn now occupies 4,000 square feet of space in a remodeled brick building of 8,500 square feet on the south side of Overland Road, near Latah Street, on the Boise central bench.
Owner Cory Chadband intends the store to be an up-scale seller of new and previously owned jewelry. He expects about 65 percent of business volume at City Jewelry & Pawn to be produced by this specialty, for which he sees a strong niche in Boise.
There are many pawn stores in Boise, but most don't specialize in jewelry to the extent that City Jewelry & Pawn does, Chadband said.
