Car alarms affect the quality of life, according to New York City councilmen Anthony Weiner and Gifford Miller, who proposed a bill last month to ban audible car alarms in the city.
The bill, authored by Council Member Weiner, a member of the Public Safety Committee, and Council Member Miller, a member of the Environmental Protection Agency, would not affect present owners of car alarms but would restrict the sale and installation of audible alarms in the future.
