SAN MATED, CALIF. - Numerical Technologies Inc. this week will announce the first fruits of its merger with Transcription Enterprise when it unveils the Photolynx optical proximity correction (OPC) tool.
Michael Sanie, director of marketing and business development for IC design at Numeritech (San Jose, Calif.), said the Photolynx is a merger of the company's iN Tandem OPC tool, which targets the IC design community, and the Computer Aided Transcription System (CATS) mask data preparation (MDP) tool, which targets the engineers in the manufacturing community who are concerned with the MDP process.
