After eight years in business, local mason contractor Lion's Den Masonry has closed.

Lion's Den was owned by Leo and Mary Lindeman. At one time they employed as many as 52. But when the company closed a little more than a month ago, layoffs had whittled the staff to just 15. The rest of the employees have since been let go.

Company manager Sherry Weaver says the cash flow problems Lion's Den encountered weren't the result of a lack of business. Lion's Den did masonry work...
