SYRACUSE - Central New Yorkers will soon have another choice in the "fast casual" restaurant category. Moe's Southwest Grill restaurants will soon begin popping up in busy, commercial sections of Cicero, New Hartford, Binghamton, and Ithaca.
Moe's Southwest Grill of New York, LLC - a Moe's franchisee owned by Scott Searles and Lawrence Wilson will open nine locations in upstate New York. It also plans a 10th restaurant in the Scranton, Pa. market, says Searles, operating partner for Moe's Southwest Grill of New York.
"We're trying to get the best locations available," says Searles.
The first Moe's in Central New York will open June 30 on Circle Drive in the Town of Cicero. The 3,100-square-foot restaurant was built by Hardy Construction. It seats 110.
The franchisee broke ground May 10 on the Moe's location on Vestal Parkway near Binghamton University. It will open in November.
