In the aftermath of powerful hurricanes that invaded Florida last year, many homes survived substantial damage due to being equipped with certain building materials. More specifically, Follansbee Roofing, which offers metal-roofing products for commercial and residential construction, found that its products survived the hurricane season.
"In 2002, we built our home in Boca Grande (Florida) with a Follansbee TCS II roof that we chose specifically for its strong reliability and beautiful appearance" said homeowner George Milne. "We were less than 10 to 15 miles north of the eye of Hurricane Charley and our metal roof sustained zero damage. Many homes in the area were left with missing shingles and some without a roof."
