After Hurricane Katrina destroyed Big Easy Chocolate Inc.'s factory, the company could not make its famous Merlin's chocolate bunnies for Easter last year.
But the bunnies, with their candy eyes and flower bows, are returning to shelves for the first time since the Aug. 29, 2005, storm. The Harahan-based company resumed production last year.
"The sales have been strong, and I think Easter is going to be good," said Larry Statton, who runs the 60-year-old company with partner Jean LaHoste.
