San Francisco--Adobe Systems Inc. may inherit a couple of lawsuits along with PageMaker when its $525 million merger with Aldus Corp. is finalized in July.
Aldus FreeHand supplier Altsys Corp. has already filed suit against Aldus charging that the proposed merger will sacrifice FreeHand sales to Adobe and its Illustrator application, therefore violating the Aldus license for FreeHand's technology.
Meanwhile, although at deadline no action had been taken, Scitex America Corp. hasn't ruled out the possibility of extending its lawsuit against Aldus over trapping software to cover Adobe's new version of...
