Several insurance companies disclosed new products and coverage enhancements in recent days.
Life and health
U.S. insurer John Hancock added the HealthyMind benefit to its John Hancock Vitality life insurance program. John Hancock Vitality operates similar to a traditional life insurance policy and includes opportunities to earn premium savings and rewards. HealthyMind gives customers rewards for meditating, includes a feature such as a 30-day sleep challenge and also provides customers with subscription to the meditation app Headspace. John Hancock is a division of Canada-headquartered Manulife Financial Corp.

Manulife launched Manulife Par, a participating whole life insurance product, in Canada. It also expanded its Manulife Vitality program to all of its term products and disclosed plans to expand the rewards in the program over the coming months. Additionally, the life insurer introduced the Artificial Intelligence Decision Algorithm, an AI tool for its underwriting process.

Manulife Hong Kong unveiled ManuDelight Annuity Plan, a product designed for young and middle-aged individuals planning to have retirement income. ManuDelight also offers extra income protection against certain diseases, such as stroke, kidney failure or Parkinson's disease.
