Abstract

In People of the state of New York v. Sprint Nextel Corp., et al, (case 103917-2011), New York Supreme Court Justice O. Peter Sherwood denied a motion by Sprint to dismiss the lawsuit. Sprint asked that the court dismiss the case for a failure to state a cause of action, but the judge determined that the complaint "satisfactorily alleges that Sprint knowingly submitted false monthly tax statements."
