Interserve wins [pounds]150m BBC deal and prison extension

Interserve has won a £150m facilities management contract for the BBC.

The firm, which is one of the BBC's framework contractors, won the contract lasting five years with possibility of a four year extension.

The deal covers services at over 150 sites around the UK including Broadcasting House in London, MediaCityUK in Salford, Pacific Quay in Glasgow and all other BBC operational sites.

Approximately 1,100 employees will transfer to Interserve from existing providers in April 2014 under the contract.
