ImEdge Technologies Inc., a White Plains, N.Y., high-tech startup, has five patents pending that it believes could be developed into scores of products if not for a serious financial problem.
"We desperately need money," said Michael Metz, ImEdge's president. "We need operational funding so that we don't close down very soon. To keep the doors open for the next six months, we need $50,000."
ImEdge's patents hold promise in several areas. For example, a finger-printing technology could give birth to devices that enhance security for computer access, door locks and automated teller machines.
