Hospitals will lose Meridia name

After more than a decade of branding the Meridia name into the minds of health care consumers in Greater Cleveland, the four-hospital system will drop the moniker from its hospitals later this month.

Instead, Meridia's hospitals will be identified by their primary hospital name subheaded by the Cleveland Clinic Health System, the Meridia system's parent. For instance, Meridia Hillcrest Hospital will become simply Hillcrest Hospital. A thin line will separate the hospital name from the words "Cleveland Clinic Health System" written below it.
