The Women's Wellness Center located in the Sue and Bill Gross Women's Pavilion at Hoag Hospital promotes integrative medicine, a holistic approach to healthcare that takes into account body, mind and spirit.
Your diet, physical activity, social and emotional health can affect your overall wellness. Incorporating new, healthy habits can enhance your quality of life. Through lifestyle modifications many common diseases can be controlled or prevented before they occur.
At the Sue and Bill Gross Women's Wellness Center, health care is being elevated to an entirely new and unparalleled level through a unique and state-of-the-art program. This comprehensive program will encourage women to be active participants in their health care through screenings, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and education. The goal of the Women's Wellness Center is to promote healthy living and healthy aging.
The center's team will be led by a medical director, Jolanta Lukawski, M.D., who is specially trained in women's health issues and integrative medicine. The team will be composed of a physician, a nurse practitioner and ancillary staff that will provide comprehensive care. Women's Wellness Center patients will receive a personal consultation that includes a complete health assessment and disease risk profile. Through early disease and risk detection, prevention and education, the center will work with women to develop an individualized strategy for a healthier life.
