The owners of Holiday Ham & Turkey have changed the name of the restaurants to better promote the steadily growing sandwich and catering business.
The 9-year-old business, which is a venture of Memphis-based Jordan Enterprises, is now - Holiday Ham & Deli, says Trey Jordan, who owns the company with his father, L. Donald Jordan Jr.
The exterior signs on the restaurants have been changed and other materials are slowly being reprinted to reflect the change as well.
"We have been thinking about a name change for probably five years," Jordan says. "We realized that people liked us for more than just a honey glazed ham and turkey store, but some people drive by us and don't have a clue what we are. They see us and think 'I don't need a ham today.' They think we are what HoneyBaked Ham or Heavenly Ham is, and that's not bad, but we're more than that."
