"Promise what is needed and deliver more than is expected" was the customer philosophy of Hi-Temp's founder Ed McCrinkin 1953 and still is the company's driving force today. Mr. McCrink's brazing business rapidly expanded into annealing metal frames for the television industry. When the television industry migrated into Japan, however, he moved into the heat treatment of castings.
Expanding from McCrink's beginnings in a 10,000 ft^sup 2^ store front brazing operation in Melrose Park, Illinois in 1953, Hi-Temp has grown to 228,000 ft^sup 2^ today divided among four plants that offer a full range of heat treat, plating, brazing and other metal finishing operations.
