Amajor headway was made in the continuation of 'Education for a New Era Initiative' reforms, after a go-ahead was given for the establishment of an independent National Centre for Educator Development (NCED). The decision came after the first meeting of the Joint Advisory Board (JAB) of NCED, led by Qatar University (QU) president Professor Sheikha Abdulla al-Misnad, and Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Saad bin Ibrahim al-Mahmoud and other senior education policy-makers in Qatar.
A collaborative educational partnership between QU and Supreme Education Council (SEC), and independent schools, the initiative will see teachers and educators receiving various tools to enhance their skill sets.
