Greyhound Courier Express has selected Parallel Strategies of Calgary as its agency of record. Cheryl Heilman, director of national marketing for Calgary-based Greyhound, says the agency's first priority will be internal marketing to the courier company's employees and direct mail marketing to existing customers. When Heilman, who has been director of marketing for Greyhound bus lines for several years, took on marketing responsibility for Courier Express last April, she looked at ways to consolidate Greyhound's agencies. Since Parallel handles media buying and planning for the bus line, Heilman says the decision to use the agency for the courier "seemed a natural fit." Calgary's push previously handled advertising for the courier company. Heilman says DoubleVision, also of Calgary, will continue to produce creative for the bus line.
