Jeff Lovell helped Steven Pierson enter the investment banking industry, and now he is helping Pierson enter the private equity business.
Pierson, UBS Securities LLC's head of financial institutions investment banking in the Americas, is slated to become president of Lovell Minnick Partners LLC, the financial services-focused private equity firm announced May 10. Pierson is expected to take on the role in June, and he along with Lovell Minnick's co-chairmen and co-founders, Lovell and James Minnick, will form an executive committee that will lead the firm.
The move to Lovell Minnick marks a career shift for Pierson, a veteran investment banker. Pierson first started working in the industry in 1995 when Lovell hired him at Putnam Lovell NBF Securities Inc., an investment bank that focused on the financial services sector. At the time,...
