Abstract

The Cleveland Browns' new football stadium is just like the old one in one important respect. It includes a "dawg pound", an end-zone dedicated to the die-hard Browns fans who have been known to dress up like dogs and throw biscuits at opposing players. Unlike most of the new stadium where there are individual seats, the dog pound has old-fashioned bleacher seats. Cres-Cor, the company that supplied the food storage carts for the new Browns stadium, used the bleacher theme in the design of the units. By making use of the solid modeling, assembly modeling, and sheet metal modeling capabilities of Solid Edge software, Cres-Cor engineers were able to design and manufacture five different food storage carts for the new stadium in only two and a half months after concept approval.
