EDF Energy has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) to offtake power from renewables firm Tamar Energy's 11MW anaerobic digestion (AD) portfolio in the UK.
The PPA covers Tamar's first five anaerobic digestion plants, at Basingstoke, Hampshire; Holbeach, Lincolnshire; Retford, Nottinghamshire; Halstead, Essex and Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. The PPA was signed with EDF Energy at the end of 2014, a statement from Tamar said.
