Spend in direct mail grew by an unexpected 10 per cent in the past year, according to Marketing Directs Top 100 Mailers report, which profiles the UK's biggest direct mail spenders.
This is in sharp contrast to the two years before, when direct mail spend among the Top 100 was slashed, with last year's figures showing a decline of 27 per cent in spend. Investment in online is also on the rise, with an 18 per cent increase on last year's corresponding figures.
