OK, imagine I am a fat cat developer with a City of London fringe site and I'm looking for ideas. Who am I going to call?
I have some architect mates, but what I really need is new ideas because I need something powerful that will haul in the punters and pay back my costs PDQ so I can get onto the next thing.
Perfect! The Architecture Foundation in London's Old Street has an exhibition called Next Generation Architects: City Fringe Studio, supported by the City of London, which funded a charette to look at one of its sites.
Down at the Yard Gallery the space looks tatty, as do the exhibits. It is not clear what site the nine architects exhibiting have been looking at - no introductory visual explanation is given, and the sound on the video isn't working.
