Schuck's Auto Supply's publicly-traded parent company plans to open four new auto parts stores in southern Idaho by late summer.
Construction will begin within 30 days, and Phoenix, Ariz.-based CSK Auto, Inc., expects the building phases to be finished 90 days thereafter on the quartet of stores planned for Boise, Meridian, Mountain Home, and Burley, according to Boise architect Mark Knowles.
Additionally, CSK Auto will have two store relocations in southern Idaho sometime in 1998, according to Shuck's southern Idaho District Manager Larry Hibbert.
Knowles said CSK Auto has indicated it plans to open the four new 7,000-square-foot stores by August.
The CSK acronym stands for Checker, Schuck's, and Kragen, a company which made its initial public offering (NYSE:CSKAUTO) in early March, Hibbert said.
Hibbert said CSK's rapid growth can be attributed in part to the IPO.
