Central Mine Equipment Company was founded in St. Louis in 1928. The initial product line included augers, cutters and related accessories for the coal mining industry. In 1962, the first drill rig was introduced, the CME-55. Today, CME designs and manufactures a complete line of drilling equipment for the geotechnical, environmental, mineral exploration, water well drilling and construction industries. All manufacturing, warehouse and office operations are consolidated at the 210,000 square foot facility located in St. Louis.

The CME-45B, which can drill holes up to 13 inches in ow-stem augers, is an economical, efficient drill diameter using conventional or hol] that can be mounted on a truck, trailer or ATV carrier. The CME-45B is ideal for pavement core work with its fixed upright drill frame and folding mast.
The CME-45C is one of CME's most versatile drill rigs. It can be mounted on a truck, trailer, skid, ATV or the CME-300 rubber tracked carrier. It can even be made helicopter-portable.
