Cirrus Logic Inc. is negotiating to lease 200,000 square feet of offices in Southwest Austin for its new corporate headquarters.
Sources say Cirrus Logic, a maker of mixed-signal chips, entered into discussions this summer with leasing representatives at The Terrace, a 109-acre multiuse project on South MoPac Expressway. Spencer Hayes and Mark Greiner at Colliers Oxford Commercial Inc. handle leasing for the project's owners, W & G Partnership of Midland.
Cirrus Logic CEO David French was traveling and couldn't be reached for comment. Craig Ensley, the company's vice president of corporate marketing, was unavailable.
Neither Hayes nor Greiner at Colliers Oxford could be reached for comment.
In May, French told the Austin Business Journal that his company was seeking 200,000 square feet of offices to house administrative, engineering and sales functions. The 400 to 450 employees in those departments now work in 160,000 square feet in three industrial
buildings at 4210 S. Industrial Blvd. in Southeast Austin.
