China's postal and national designated express delivery enterprises combined saw operating revenue reach RMB 73.32 billion January through March of 2014, growing 21.1% on-year, the State Postal Bureau revealed April 16th. Postal and national designated express delivery enterprise business volume increased 35.1% on-year to RMB 76.32 billion during the same period. Postal and national designated express delivery enterprises maintained stable growth in Q1. Due to the end of 2014 Spring Festival holiday, operating revenue hit RMB 26.96 billion in March, recovering from RMB 20.94 billion in February.In the first three months of this year, national designated express delivery enterprises alone increased business volume by 51.9% on-year to 2.6 billion items. Meanwhile, operating revenue totaled RMB 41.35 billion, an on-year increase of 45.6%.The concentration index of express delivery service brands stood at 78.7 January through March, 0.1 points higher than the index in January through February.
