The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is inviting bids for its second qualified technological equipment (QTE) lease deal. As many as six arrangers are believed to have tendered bids.
The mandate concerns baggage handling equipment for terminals 1 and 2 at Changi Airport and follows on from the first $105 million transaction which was arranged last year on ground radar, ground lighting networks and CAAS's Total Airport Management System. Provided the QTE survives the threatened market clampdown in the US, industry sources say CAAS is hoping for a deal of around $150 million. "It could actually go a bit higher than that,"...
