Despite underperforming the wider industry year-to-date amid a flagging economy, insurance brokers should experience some positive market conditions as they head into the final quarter of 2022.
The share prices of the "Big Three" global brokers have declined steadily since the start of the year. Aon PLC's price had fallen 6.3% as of Oct. 13 while Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. was off 10.3% and Willis Towers Watson PLC was down 12.8% this year.
The world's fourth largest broker by revenue, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., has bucked this negative trend, rising 5.3% for the year.
