The Australian government has launched a $500-million Biomedical Translation Fund (BTF) to help turn Australian biomedical discoveries into high growth potential companies which will benefit Australian patients.
The fund was established under the government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda and will have three experienced venture capital fund managers - Brandon Capital Partners, OneVentures Management and BioScience Managers.
Under the scheme, $250 million in government capital will be matched by more than $250 million from the private sector.
