The Army expects to release the request for proposals (RFP) for signals intelligence (SIGINT) payloads for its unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) based Division Tactical SIGINT Program (DTSP) by March, according to senior service officials.
"We learned a lot of things from the demonstration we finished in December," Chris Keller, Army Deputy Project Manager for Signals Warfare told sister publication Defense Daily in a recent interview. "We also learned a few things that we are going to need to work on for the future system, such as antenna placement and the datalink."
Later this month, the DTSP program will have its Milestone I decision for program definition and risk reduction phase. Once the program clears that hurdle, the RFP will be released.
