ROCKFISH INTERACTIVE is not built in the image of the 1960s advertising agency that you see on television, or even the over-the-top, eccentric band of creative people that so often appear on the silver screen. Rockfish is the interactive agency of tomorrow - personable, creative, innovative and solution-focused - already thriving today.
"We build interactive solutions for the digital age," founder Kenny Tomlin said. "In other words, we've forged together this incredibly diverse team of creative, technology, usability and business experts who can look at a project, determine what channelbest matches the targeted users, and apply a real-world strategy for success."
Innovate and Integrate
That focus on generating measurable results to help clients achieve their business goals is one way that Rockfish Interactive is moving itself, and its entire industry, to a new plateau of "services as solutions."
"For decades, the concept of an ad agency was this creative house focused solely on advertising," Tomlin said. "The big industry shift has been toward an ability to innovate and integrate - to be an agency that can design,develop and deploy a solution. For instance, we conceptualize and build websites, mobile applications, microsites, e-commerce sites, widgets, social media and other custom software initiatives."
A major asset to the "design build" approach is the ability to develop necessary technologies in-house rather than farming out the work to another company.
"Our motto: if a client needs it and doesn't have it, then we will build it," Tomlin said.
